1. To develop culture-resonant approaches to the delivery of career-related services in India.
2. To identify natural, cultural, and human resources of the NE region in relation to careers and livelihoods.

Main Theme of the Conference:  Looking Within

Subthemes of the Conference:

• Traditional livelihoods and occupations
• Employment, market, local and global economies
• Self, family, school and community influences on career development across the life span
• East and west: Diverse approaches to career counselling
• New directions in the careers literature:  workplace spirituality, addressing needs of special populations, storytelling in career counselling, ICT and career guidance
